Martin J Thomas - Managing Director/CEO
Martin holds a Bachelor of Business in Institutional Management has worked extensively in aged care as the owner operator of two residential aged care facilities for the elderly. He is passionate about skin integrity education and frequently conducts training sessions and product information sessions across Australia.
Carolyn M Thomas - National Clinical Manager
Carolyn holds a Diploma of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Studies and has worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years. Most recently she was the Nurse Manager of an independent 30 bed aged care facility before joining MacMed Healthcare in 2006. Carolyn has had extensive experience in caring for clients with skin integrity issues and is a certified trainer.
John W Thomas - Director of Research & Product Development
Before joining MacMed Healthcare, John was the Executive Vice President of the American Sporting Goods Corporation. He has worked extensively with the biomechanics of the foot and has been called upon as an expert witness on several high profile legal cases. He has worked for many years in product development and is an expert on patent design and registration. He has a passion for designing pressure redistribution solutions for the lower extremities of the body and was the inventor of the “Remedy Shoe” for the aged care market.
Barry Moyle - General Manager
Barry has in excess of 30 years in senior management in the international transport and logistics industry, and as a former lecturer in computer systems forms an integral part of the company’s financial management, production and quality systems and customer management processes.
Taryn Poole – National Sales & Marketing Manager
Taryn Poole has held senior roles in marketing, public relations and brand development while also acting as an external consultant to a diverse range of companies for the last nine years. She has a proven ability in developing and executing low and high level marketing strategies to consistently deliver exceptional results. Taryn has an incisive understanding in all areas of marketing and is looking forward to assisting MacMed Healthcare to strengthen their national brand awareness and increase their already strong client base.
Wendy Rolls - Sales Consultant
Before joining MacMed Healthcare, Wendy worked for a boutique NSW company specialising in tailored healthcare solutions, where she thrived in dealing with nursing homes and hospitals across the northern rivers. Wendy has excellent interpersonal skills and always manages to deliver superior service for her many clients. She is passionate about pressure care and committed to improving the quality of life of all Australians at risk of compromising skin integrity issues. In her spare time, Wendy is a visual artist and holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts Honours from Southern Cross University (2001).
Rex Palmer – Warehouse & Distribution
Rex has spent many years in the hospitality supply industry and understands the fundamentals of cost effective and timely distribution. He is a registered driving instructor and holds licenses to drive all heavy goods vehicles. He is responsible for the day to day processing of orders, inventory and stock transfer functions.
